The food and beverage department is a very important part of a hotel. It is often one of the foremost income earners for the hotel. In many large hotels, it brings in more income than room rentals and can account for two fifths to one half of a hotel's profit.There are number of different areas offering a variety of meals and services all within a hotel - the restaurant, grill room , different bars, cafeteria and coffee shop as well as room service, lounge service and banqueting.
