INT. THE BAT CAVE BRUCE, wrapped in numerous bandages, works on a black motorcycle His HEAD IS SHAVED and crisscrossed with STITCHES. He's in bad shape. Even turning a wrench causes pain.
In the background on TV - CHANNEL ONE EYEWITNESS NEWS - local TV news shows a red faced LOEB push through a mob of reporters to get into his office.
NEWS ANCHOR, BRIAN District Attorney Harvey Dent today announced the arrest and indictment of Carlos ESTRADA on numerous racketeering charges — the commissioner was unavailable for comment.
The TV shows GORDON leading ESTRADA up the steps of the Justice Building.

INT. ACCESS TUNNEL. SOMEWHERE UNDER GOTHAM CITY - NIGHT THE BAT-MAN guns his motorcycle through shallow puddles. Rats scurry.
He stops to check a map. A train rattles past behind a steel grate separating his tunnel from the subway.
