Comprehensible input, in my opinion has been the last resort of the language teaching profession. We've tried everything else. We've tried grammar teaching, drills and exercise, computers, etc. But the only thing that seems to count is getting messages you understand: comprehensible input.

Am a 24 year old Kenyan, just finished my college yet to graduate on December with a bachelors in IT. How can I get job in China? In my college years I used to do teaching kids in our country and recently undertook the TEFL 120 hrs, I have been doing online application in hiredchuna, echinacities, indeed, glassdoor and all other platfroms but never gotten shortlisted. Can I ever get lucky or I should just give up?

I just spoke to a recruiter and she told me that 20k is too much for someone with no experience in Hangzhou and Suzhou. But I've seen job postings and other people on this sub reddit with 20k+.

Second recommendation is watch movies, every time you have an opportunity to watch a movie, english movie,many movies are English, actually made by Hollywood studios and made by America, try to watch them with original sound, with subtitles maybe if you don't understand English that well, but with the original sound. It's important that you hear how people really talk in English.Now how teachers are teaching you to use English.
